This presentation will feature practical, proactive cybersecurity tips and considerations for a reactive world. Participants will learn:
- How a family office can best protect its sensitive information (i.e. internal employees with confidential information, mobile devices, bring your own device, etc.)
- How family offices can help educate and protect their clients.
- Data security, including how to protect the sending of information and due diligence for 3rd party advisors.
Recommended for:
Families and Single Family Office Executives. This event is not open to wealth advisors.

Mona Clayton, Forensic Services Partner, Latin America Specialist, PwC Private Company Services
Mona Clayton is a Forensic Services partner who has spent over two decades at PwC, conducting international and domestic forensic accounting assignments for multi-nationals as well as domestic and private companies. She works with clients on a variety of matters, including cyber security and proactive compliance gap assessments for high-profile internal investigations--many of which have been conducted in emerging and frontier markets. She has extensive experience in Latin America focusing on internal investigations, as well as a range of FCPA/anti-corruption and anti-bribery matters. She has served as an expert witness on litigation matters, leading investigations and activities on a number of topics such as anti-trust, data analysis, corporate intelligence, as well as e-discovery and licensing (or contract) compliance.
Mona is a frequent speaker and trainer on various topics, including increasing fraud awareness, compliance, FCPA, anti-bribery and corruption, conducting investigations, understanding Forensic Services, data mining, and understanding the risk of fraud/common schemes in Brazil and Latin America. She has served as an adjunct faculty member at DePaul University and the University of Indianapolis, teaching graduate level courses on forensic accounting and fraud auditing.
Mona is the co-author of the book, A Guide to Forensic Accounting Investigation.
Allison Shipley, Personal Financial Services Principal, PwC Private Company Services
Allison Shipley leads the Personal Financial Services (PFS) practice for PwC for the State of Florida. With 25 years of experience at PwC, Allison specializes in comprehensive planning for high-net-worth families, business owners, and family offices. Her areas of expertise include income tax planning and compliance services, investment planning, and wealth transfer solutions for both U.S. and foreign individuals. She is regularly quoted in news media including the New York Times, Barron’s, Bloomberg, and others. Allison has an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden Graduate School of Business (Charlottesville, VA) and a B.A. in Economics from Kenyon College (Gambier Ohio). She holds the Certificate of Language and Civilization of French Studies from La Sorbonne University (Paris, France). Allison is also an Enrolled Agent, authorized to practice before the Internal Revenue Service. Allison is a member of the Board Directors of the Miami Foundation and of Goodwill Industries of South Florida. Prior to joining the firm, Allison was an Assistant Vice President at Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co. in New York.
Mariann Mihailidis, Managing Director
Mariann Mihailidis serves as managing director and consultant to family office members of the Family Office Exchange. In her role she oversees the management of all domestic family office relationships. As a practicing tax and estate-planning attorney, she develops strategies in wealth transfer issues, taxes, and corporate structures. Ms. Mihailidis has served as an executor and trustee, and her fiduciary responsibilities included administrative, legal, and accounting duties of various trusts and estates.
Prior to joining FOX in 1996, Ms. Mihailidis worked in one of America’s leading family offices for four years as an accounting manager for the family’s investment partnerships and operating companies.
