Michael Taylor, Sr. Vice President, Deputy Chief Claims Officer, PURE Insurance
Mike joined PURE in June 2016 following 16 years at AIG. During a 34 year insurance career Mike has worked for a number of major carriers including Allstate, Hanover, CNA Property & Casualty, Palisades (a Plymouth Rock Company), and AIG with responsibility handling and managing both casualty and property claims for Personal and Commercial lines of business. In 2000, Mike was a founding member of AIG Private Client Group beginning his initiation into the high net worth personal insurance segment. He went on to become Eastern Zone General Manager of Private Client Group from 2006 – 2013 and was responsible for all functions of the business with nearly $400M of written premium in force, growing the business by nearly 40% during that period. Most recently before leaving AIG, Mike was the Global Claim Officer for Accident & Health Claims, overseeing a global staff of over 1,200 claims professionals. Now at PURE, he is principally responsible for oversight of Casualty Claims and our Member Advocate practice providing professional claim advice and service nation-wide.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Mike has a B.A. from Mount Allison University in New Brunswick, Canada. He makes his home in Colts Neck, NJ along with his wife and two children.
Matthew G. Conway, Managing Principal, Conway Stoughton
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Matt Conway began his career at a Hartford law firm, where he practiced for 11 years, the last six as a partner almost exclusively in civil litigation. In 2003, he established Conway Stoughton. Attorney Conway is a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney. He has tried numerous civil cases in the judicial districts throughout the entire state as well as every federal courthouse in the district. He continues to concentrate his practice in litigation, primarily representing insurance companies and their insureds. He has tried jury cases to successful verdict in claims of Traumatic Brain Injury, defamation, product liability, uninsured motorist claims, breach of contract, premises liability, section 1983 civil rights, unfair trade practices, property damage, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, trucking and motor vehicle accidents, dram shop liability, insurance coverage and bad faith. In addition, he regularly serves as a mediator, arbitrator and hearing officer.
Matthew holds B.A., cum laude, from Boston College and J.D., cum laude, from Suffolk University School of Law. He was named one of the Top 100 Trial Attorneys in Connecticut by the American Trial Lawyers Association and chosen as a Connecticut Super Lawyer®: Civil Litigation Defense, every year since 2007. Matthew is also a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney by National Board of Trial Advocacy, since 2002 and Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent Rated Attorney.
Sandra Ditore, Regional Director, Membership Development, East Region
Ms. Ditore is on the Executive Leadership Team for the Family Firm Institute (FFI) Midwest Chapter. Her involvement includes the development of educational programming for Midwest members.
