The FOX Family Enterprise Council is composed of family leaders and trusted executives pursuing a long term view of their family enterprise.

The purpose of this council is to elevate the professional and personal performance of these participants in order to enhance the operation of the broader family enterprise and long term well-being of the family.

Each Council works from a FOX developed curriculum that is tailored to the needs of the Council. Meetings include content from the curriculum as well as specific topics and discussions requested by the Council members. FOX provides the appropriate internal and external resources for lively, fruitful meetings.

9:30 a.m.		Family Enterprise Governance Sara Hamilton, Founder and CEO, Family Office Exchange As the family grows, decision-making moves from the dining table to the board room, and the family needs to formalize their decision-making process in a formal governance structure. In this session, Sara will outline the benefits of a formal governance system, the importance of developing a decision-making process that is trusted, and share sample governance structures that are designed to grow with the family.

11:15 a.m.		Best Practice Case Study: Family Governance of a 7^th Generation Family Francesco D'Amico, Managing Director, Quilvest Switzerland Ltd. The Bemberg family’s corporate and family governance structures have survived and thrived for generations because they are aligned with the family’s key guiding principles. Francesco will share this family’s approach to building a trusted governance system along with their lessons learned from decades of practice.

2:00 pm		2017 FOX Family Benchmarking Study Highlights Alexandre Monnier and Miguel López de Silanes, Family Office Exchange FOX surveys its members each year to understand what’s keeping them awake at night and where they’re investing their time and talent to further the goals of the families they serve. In this session, Alexandre and Miguel will share some of the highlights from this summer’s family benchmarking survey.

9:00 a.m.		Family Learning: Engaging and Educating the Rising Generation Sara Hamilton, CEO and Founder, Family Office Exchange Greg McCann, Founder, McCann & Associates Every family struggles to prepare younger family members for the responsibilities of wealth. In this session, Sara and Greg will share key takeaways from this summer’s Family Learning Focus Group where leading industry educators and family office Chief Learning Officers discussed the challenges they face and what they need to prepare the rising generation. In addition, Sara and Greg look forward to having a conversation about your family learning needs and how the FOX Family Learning Center can help.
