The FOX Global Family Council is comprised of family office CEOs and wealth owners overseeing the most sophisticated multi-generational, multinational family offices.
The purpose of this council is to focus on sustainability of the family with discussions including family governance, owner education, strategic planning, and best practices for effective management of the family enterprise.
Each Council works from a FOX developed curriculum that is tailored to the needs of the Council. Meetings include content from the curriculum as well as specific topics and discussions requested by the Council members. FOX provides the appropriate internal and external resources for lively, fruitful meetings.

9:00 am FOX Review of Agenda and Introductions of All Participants
We expect to have several new prospective members joining us for this valuable program. Introductions will be provided along with biographies of all participants.
9:45 am Peer Dialogue among Participants
Participants will identify the critical questions they are addressing and learn from others in the group how these challenges have been addressed. Each participant should submit two to three questions for discussion during the month of June.

11:00 am Case Study on the Expansion of a Family Governance Structure
Francesco D’Amico will present the principles of governance that have guided the Bemberg Family for the past 40 years in their decision-making process, and the scope of changes the family is making in the governance due to the blending of control between the 5th and 6th generations. We will discuss the three principles the Gen 6 leaders are asking for -transparency, equality (equal rules and powers), and the ability to have impact. Francesco will be pleased to take questions from the participants.

1:30 pm Privacy Protection and Data Security in the Family
Maurizio Petta, the CEO of an Italian Family Foundation, will bring us new insights from his family office project to build out the Data Privacy and Security Monitoring Service currently supporting the family principal. Mr. Petta will share a diagram that defines the critical elements of the privacy and data security world that we all need to become more familiar with, as we begin to see the role of the Family Office of the Future.

3:45 pm Transparency Issues that Affect Multi-generational Families
Victoria Dalmas, CEO of LawInContext, an online venture of Baker and McKenzie, will share with us data transparency trends in the wealth management industry of relevance to all wealth owning families, particularly those who operate in multiple jurisdictions. Victoria will review the history of how the current environment of heightened data transparency came about, and what we can expect in the future from the various regulatory bodies that govern the sharing of information.

9:00 am Asset Allocation Strategies/Opportunities in Slow Growth Markets
Andrew Hunt of Hunt Economics Ltd. has been invited to join us to discuss his flow of funds based approach to macro-economic analysis. His work is heavily focused on tracking and understanding “Balance sheet behavior” of various economic agents and predicting the resulting flows that these changes may initiate. Andrew will share his thoughts on strategic asset allocation in the current market conditions, including how to use current data to generate investment ideas and stress test existing positions.

11:00 am Education Programs for Younger Generation Family Members
Neus Feliu, a consultant with Landberg Gersick, will join us to discuss education strategies for children of wealth. Neus has developed over the past 20 years an expertise in family business governance and younger generation education, and she has built education programs for two of our Council members. We have invited her to share best practices with us on education children and understanding the impact of wealth on their well being. Neus is an economist and organizational psychologist by training and she holds a Ph.D. from ESADE Business School.

We will finish our Peer Dialogue discussion to ensure that everyone gets their questions answered, and then we will move to an update on a FOX research project - the FOX Summit on Strengthening the Partnership between Families and Advisors.

Possibly Next Meeting in Miami in March in Conjunction with Global Owners Forum the first week of March, 2017.
