The FOX Global Family Council is comprised of family office CEOs and wealth owners overseeing the most sophisticated multi-generational, multinational family offices.

The purpose of this council is to focus on sustainability of the family with discussions including family governance, owner education, strategic planning, and best practices for effective management of the family enterprise.

Each Council works from a FOX developed curriculum that is tailored to the needs of the Council. Meetings include content from the curriculum as well as specific topics and discussions requested by the Council members. FOX provides the appropriate internal and external resources for lively, fruitful meetings.

Recent historic votes in major countries around the world are causing ripple effects which Macro Economist, Karen Harris, believes will unleash new waves of growth and decline. Her research predicts a new set of winners and losers over the next decade. Trends of regionalism and populism will be profound as risk premiums rise, global institutions lose trust and tech innovations change the way things work. This confluence of emerging trends must be understood so that you can position the complex moving parts of your family enterprise to remain at the leading edge.

10:45 am		Group Discussion of Global Trends Impacting Enterprise Families
11:30 am		Leadership Transitions and Gen 4 Owner Education Case Study A family member, Chair of the Strategy and Family Development Committee will give us background on the family history, and its visioning process used to clarify their roles in the leadership transition that recently too place. Another family member, head of the Strategy Committee, will describe the current thinking around enterprise strategy and where the Gen 3 leaders hope to take the enterprise. They will conclude by describing the family learning program that has been designed for the Gen 4 family members, and the video history the family has been working on.

*3:00 pm*		Peer Dialogue among Participants (Attendee Preparation Requested) Facilitated by Miguel Lopez de Silanes, Market Leader for Europe and Latin America, Family Office Exchange Each participant will be asked to provide an update on your own family educational programs and other strategic projects you have been working on. Your goals and strategies for each segment of the family enterprise will be of interest to the group, as well as any thinking about 2018 plans that are in formation.

9:00 am		Family Office CEO A family office CEO will provide for us an overview on the 7th generation leadership transitions at the family office and his new role as the Chair of the Strategy Committee. The CEO has remarked that the transition took more time than expected to plan and implement, so we will hear more about the complexities of transition from him.
10:00 am		FOX Report on Members Family Learning Programs FOX hosted a meeting in June for 12 Chief Learning Officers and 6 education experts who build custom programs for family groups. We will review two of the best program structures and discuss how learning modules need to be constructed for effective family engagement.

11:00 am		*Strengthening the Partnership between Families and Advisors* FOX Research Presented by Sara Hamilton, Founder & CEO,and Miguel Lopez de Silanes, Family Office Exchange The FOX team will bring you the final report on the FOX Thought Leaders’ Summit on *Strengthening the Partnership between Families and their Advisors*. FOX learned that strategic partnering allows families to better position themselves in an increasingly complex and unpredictable global environment. Partnerships optimize family and advisor relationships. During the session Council members will engage in a dialogue about: How GFC members view partnerships Participant ideas on how these partnerships might be improved Steps families can take to strengthen their present and future advisor relationships
