9:00 a.m.		Welcome, Participant Introductions and Peer Discussion Discussion of how PIC members are considering their investment strategy, what changes they are making in the face of current uncertainty, and what investment challenges are top of mind.
10:00 a.m.		Reviewing the Smart Beta/Factor-Based Universe of Long-only Equity A PIC member will discuss her reasoning behind her family office’s comprehensive review of active long-only equity and passive strategies and their interest in seeking new strategies in “the space between” passive and active investing. Our speaker will give a presentation on the proliferation of investment strategies pursuing active bets within a systematic approach, followed by a group discussion on long-only equity challenges and opportunities.

1:15 p.m.		One Family’s Journey to Impact Investing. A PIC member will share how he came to the realization that we can no longer maintain our philanthropic lives and our business lives as separate. He believes that our investments can align with our values and we can use our capital to address the world’s biggest problems while achieving attractive returns. This PIC member has joined with other significant family investors to pursue his goals and he will share his story

3:00 pm		Investment Trends for Private Investors and Family Offices This session will share many of the investment trends that FOX has been following for almost three decades. With a special focus on asset allocation, returns, risk, decision-making processes, reporting, cost, impact investing, passive vs active, direct private equity, among other topics, this peer-exchange driven session will strive to synthesize current trends to make them actionable for Council members. One of our speakers is a consultant to institutions and family offices on hedge funds and private equity and will serve as a resource for the conversation.
