Fifteen years ago, increased threats attendant to professional and state-sponsored cybercrime, coupled with the increasing disorder of information needed to deliver online services, were going unchallenged in family office and wealth management circles. The rising number of software products touching families and clients exhibited inconsistent vendor-to-vendor security, privacy, and data integrity protection. We believed the people served in those markets had the most to lose. Their needs prompted Summitas to develop a vendor-neutral solution built around protecting people and the information they create, share, and need to keep safe. The overarching idea was to insert a new engagement platform between a growing list of back-end systems and websites (including application-specific portals) to organize and protect client-facing information under one consistent online service. Summitas Platform provides a scalable, secure, fault-tolerant environment for branded portals hosting solution-specific apps. Rather than focusing solely on finance, Summitas collects structured (e.g., financial, numerical) and unstructured (e.g., text and multimedia) from multiple sources to provide a holistic view of all the information pertinent to the well-being of families and clients. Summitas believes security, privacy, and data integrity should be consistent across apps and data. Scrutinized by leading data security firms, Summitas Platform architecture, algorithms, and infrastructure have been subject to technical due diligence by security experts and Fortune 100 companies. We continuously maintain our internal policies and controls and submit them to the scrutiny of our SOC 2, Type 2 auditors.
