Managing Legal Risks Inherent in Direct Investing

In this session, produced in conjunction with the FOX Direct Investing Network, we explored how to manage and insure against the various legal risks facing family offices today. Special attention will be paid to the risks involved in direct investing and the types of insurance solutions that can address them. Karen Beldy Torborg and Machua Millet from Marsh’s Private Equity and M&A Services Group presented a real-life case study - where everything that can go wrong did go wrong – and discuss how family offices can protect themselves from litigation and loss when investments go bad.
