Position Summary:

The IT Operations Specialist will deliver help desk support to our users and clients, provide system administration for the firm’s hardware and software assets and ensure that the IT organization is taking a proactive stance against cyber risk.

Duties & Responsibilities:

IT Support (50%)

  • Provide user training and help desk support for employees in the corporate and remote offices while demonstrating superior customer service and communication excellence
  • Manage employee onboarding/offboarding processes, user directory listings, and application access
  • Administer SaaS applications such as Office365, Dynamics365, cvent, LastPass, GoToMeeting, Qualtrics and Marketo and provide end-user support
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, telephones and peripherals
  • Administer IT help desk applications including Jira and Kaseya
  • Leverage IT tools to automate solutions for repetitive tasks • Manage vendor relationships and licenses related to end-user hardware and software
  • Execute user training sessions, webinars, workshops etc. in groups or individually

IT System Admin (25%)

  • Manage procurement, deployment, and maintenance of Windows and Mac laptop and desktop computers and peripherals
  • Proactively monitor, and apply patches and upgrades to OS and desktop applications on Windows and Mac devices
  • Setup, configure, and troubleshoot network devices including firewalls, APs, switches and routers
  • Ensure that billing for all web properties and domain names is kept current
  • Create and verify backups of firm data • Upgrade systems and processes for enhanced functionality and security resolution
  • Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to usability and security concerns
  • Troubleshoot network connectivity issues • Provision and administer cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and SQL Server

IT Security (25%)

  • Administer and proactively monitor on-premise security systems
  • Administer and monitor endpoint security, including antivirus, and malware protection
  • Review and monitor system configurations to ensure they are secure, role appropriate, and consistent
  • Administer and monitor patch management processes to ensure applications and systems are at the proper patch levels; provide reporting, vulnerability management, and configuration management
  • Gather logs and events from multiple systems and devices, aggregate and analyze information to identify threats and security incidents proactively
  • Strengthen infrastructure and systems security with risk assessment and remediation
  • Assist in definition of IT security standards and implementation of IT security roadmap initiatives
  • Enhance incident response and disaster recovery procedures
  • Work with legal to ensure conformity to regulations including GDPR and CCPA
  • Analyze systems and procedures to identify opportunities to enhance cyber resilience
  • Proctor security training courses and employee phishing program, provide 1:1 employee training when needed
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cybersecurity tools, methods and best practices

Professional Experience:

  • 3+ years relevant work experience in IT operations, including desktop support, systems administration and security.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of administration, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft Windows, Office365, and Mac OSX.
  • Experience with Azure AD administration, Identity and Access Management protocols.
  • Understanding of common network services, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SNMP, SMTP.
  • Understanding of common networking technologies, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, SSL, Wireless Networks, VPN, VOIP, Firewalls.
  • Experience with endpoint, network, and cloud security operations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, members and outside vendors.
  • Able to work on a diverse range of support issues, identifying and resolving unfamiliar problems efficiently.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills; ability to work independently and prioritize the workload.
  • This position will require the occasional exertion of up to 30 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Availability to work outside of standard office hours and on-call as needed after hours or over the weekend.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CompTIA CASP or CISSP certification
  • PMP certification
